$63.16
Unit price /
Unavailable
100% polyester. The Neat Crossbody S shoulder bag is made of polyester with the Unikko pattern. The bag has an adjustable shoulder strap. The small bag has a zipper closure, a zippered pocket, and a Marimekko logo on the front, and an open pocket inside where the entire bag can be folded for storage.
The main material of the product is 100% recycled polyester, and the shoulder strap is 100% recycled polyamide.
Maija Isola designed Unikko in 1964, and it has since become an international icon of print design. Marimekko's founder, Armi Ratia, believed that the essence of real flowers could not be truly replicated in a pattern, which is why floral patterns were previously excluded from Marimekko's collections. That's why Maija Isola designed the Unikko flower as an abstraction instead of a photorealistic depiction. Today, Unikko is a strong symbol of joy and creativity, an inseparable part of Marimekko's design identity.
