The handle and replacement head of the dish brush are made of 100% recycled plastic. Maybe the butter container, ketchup bottle or detergent package that you used has ended up as the material for the handle of the dish brush. The brush part of the dish brush is removed by bending the handle and at the same time lifting the brush part. The new brush part is easily clicked into place. Replacement brush heads are sold in packs of two.
