Alder chips

Alder is a plant genus belonging to the birch family, which contains about 30 tree and shrub species. Two alder species commonly grow in Finland, gray alder and tar alder, of which the gray alder is used for smoking. The alder chips in SAVU smoking bags are domestic.

The food is cooked in a tight aluminum package, preserving the fresh taste and getting the aroma of real smoke in an easy, healthy and safe way. The smoking bag contains only nature's own ingredients, i.e. alder chips, tar extract and sugar.
