Reform Flaxseed 500g
Reformi - flax - flax seeds 500g Finnish flax seeds.
Flaxseeds care and soothe your stomach. This is based on the high fiber content of flaxseed (approx. 40%) and above all on the soluble fiber it contains. When a flaxseed comes into contact with liquid, the mucilage in its seed coat swells and pushes out from under the coat into the surrounding liquid. This is how linseed mucus is created, which takes care of the digestive system.
Flaxseeds also contain valuable linseed oil approx. 30%. As much as 77% of the fatty acids in the oil are polyunsaturated fatty acids. Flaxseed oil is one of the best sources of alpha-linolenic acid. In order for the body to be able to utilize these good fatty acids, flaxseeds must be chewed well or crushed just before use.
You can use flax seeds as they are for baking, porridge, as an ingredient in muesli or soaked for stomach care. You can also grind them, but only do it right before use. Flaxseeds are best stored whole.
Stomach-friendly porridge:
1 liter of water
15 figs
2 dl whole wheat flour (graham flour)
1 dl Reformi organic flax seeds
1/4 teaspoon mineral salt.
Chop the figs with scissors into boiling water and boil for approx. 10 min. Puree.
Whisk in the flour. Add the flax seeds and salt. Allow to simmer on low heat for 15–20 min. Serve with milk or soy drink.
Linseed mucilage:
Soak 1 tablespoon of flax seeds in a glass of water for at least an hour. Drink the liquid with the seeds in the evening. Duration of effect 12–24 hours.
